Monday:  Art 11/12, VAM 10, and Art 10 have a day to catch up on incomplete portfolio work.  Laptops will be available to use if students need access to Art History images to complete their responses.  VAM 10 will take notes on how to describe images.

Tuesday: MARKS CUT OFF!!! EVERYTHING NEEDS BE HANDED IN TODAY. NO EXCEPTIONS. Art History Tuesday for all classes.  Art 9/10 will also work on a still-life sketch.

Wednesday: Art 11/12 and Art 10 will take notes on decribing images.  They will get their 2nd response image.  VAM 10 will get their second response image and start on images for a school sign/mural.

Thursday: Art 10 will begin their drawing unit final project rough drafts. VAM 10 will continue working on their negative space portraits.  Art 11/12 will finish up sketch stations.

Friday: Art 10 will continue working on rough drafts. VAM 10 will get a Photoshop demo.  Art 11/12 will begin brainstorming and sketching for their drawing final.

Tuesday Feb 12: Art History Tuesday For all classes!  We are looking at some Roman art! Notice the increase in realism, and the great innovations in architecture!  Period 4: Ms. Kowalski is in for me, make her feel loved! You will get to work on art History first block, and then work on the remaining Image Development Strategies after Lunch!

Wednesday: Art 11/12: Your first intro to elements and principles! Period 4: we will be in the computer labs! Period 3: We are working on the rest of the image development strategies!

Thursday:  Art 11/12 you have a double block which will be used for responses and planning your clay projects! Period 4, lab again and time to build your online portfolios.  Period 3: Finish up your Image Development strategies!

Friday: Art 11/12 time to catch up on unfinished sketches and get clay ideas ready for Monday's build.  Period 4: We will be adding some banner images to your portfolios and possibly start on your first photo assignment.  Period 3: Starting on your plan for clay!

Semester two is here!

All the classes started off on Thursday with our cover page for sketchbooks/response booklets. 

Friday Art 11/12 and Art 9/10 started working on perspective, while VAM 10 was introduced to the Elements and Principles of Art.

Monday Feb 4: VAM 10 will start to find examples of the Elements and Principles in magazines, and Art 10-12 will continue with their perspective sketches!

Tuesday Feb 5: ART HISTORY TUESDAY for all classes! Art 10 will go over Elements and Principles, and VAM 10 will glue their magazine images into a booklet (if we have time we will go onto Image Development Strategies).

Wednesday Feb 6: Art 11/12 will go over Elements and Principles, as well as words to describe images. Art 10 will begin trying out shading techniques, and VAM 10 will start looking for examples of image development strategies after we finish the powerpoint.

Thursday Feb 7: Response Thursdays for all classes. Art 11/12 will work on two point perspective after lunch for double block!
